Most famous example of Gothic-Lombard, the cathedral dates back to 1300, built by Gian Galeazzo Visconti.
This imposing religious building, second only to St. Peter's Basilica, has over 3,500 statues spread over a total area of nearly 12000 square meters.
The height of the tallest spire, topped by the famous "Madonna", comes to 108 meters.
The statue of the Madonna is covered with gold foil well 3900.



BASILICA OF SANT'AMBROGIO

It is the symbol of Milan's religiousness. Built in 379 A. D. Lombard-Romanesque style, was consecrated by the famous Bishop Ambrose, who should be the name of the Ambrosian Church.
Inside are preserved precious relics and art works that document the 1600 years of history.



BASILICA OF SANT'EUSTORGIO

Beautiful religious building dating back to medieval times, the first of 300 built at the behest of the bishop who Eustorgio transported from Constantinople up to here the relics of the Magi, still kept in the chapel.



BASILICA OF SAN LORENZO MAGGIORE

Located in front of Roman columns, the only evidence of a temple dating from the third century, this marvelous cathedral has many stylistic overlap, due to the various restorations suffered.
The early Christian elements are prevalent (for example the mosaics) but other styles also stand out the most recent dating from 1600 (the dome) to 1800 (front view).



SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE
